NKNV is a fashion house founded by Ivan Nikonov in 2021 and currently based in Riga, Latvia.
As a brand they are constantly exploring fashion through the prism of interior design, architecture and art.
Their very mission is to create timeless wardrobe pieces that are made to last. NKNV is sleek, yet bold and unapologetic: they are striving to translate the audience’s daring personality and refined taste into the designs that NKNV deliver.
As a European brand they firmly believe in Europe and its values, therefore all NKNV pieces are handcrafted locally in the EU. This allows them to ensure full ethicality of the production process as well as its compliance with all the European quality and sustainability standards.
All the fabrics that they are using for the garments are of European origin, which is reinforcing the vision of being a truly European brand with commitment to quality and savoir-faire.
The garments are carefully constructed on a small-scale production by industry professionals with years of experience in sewing and pattern-making, which ensures bespoke quality and longevity of their clothing.
As a fashion brand they realised NKNV should have the responsibility for the planet and feel an urgent need to set the tone for change in the highly polluting fashion industry.
It was a conscious choice to work with dead-stock fabrics only, meaning that all their garments are produced from textiles left over by large luxury fashion houses and which would otherwise go into waste.
As a result, all the NKNV garments are produced in limited quantities and are subject to fabric availability.
Their primary goal from the very start was to create pieces that would last and that could be worn regardless of the season or the fashion trends. Therefore, it is undoubtedly their priority to encourage conscious consumption and extended use with timeless quality garments.
