The MICA team is from La Ribera del Duero, and here in addition to winegrowers and winemakers they grow cereals.
Mica is a characteristic mineral of the mountains in their village, Fuentenebro (Burgos). The Fuentenebro mountain range has an altitude of more than 1,300 meters.
At this altitude, in a high mountain climate, and surrounded by a great diversity of minerals, they grow our barley with which they brew this unique beer.
Mica is the most characteristic mineral of Fuentenebro, since it is practically the only place in the Iberian Peninsula where it can be found.
Mica is a silicate of alumina, iron, calcium, magnesium, which is characterized by flexible, elastic and very bright sheets.
In addition to the Mica they have other minerals such as quartz, having existed in our municipality mines, from which this mineral was extracted among others.
With this altitude and these minerals, their land, also very characteristic, reddish clay, provides a barley of excellent quality, which Jesus pampers and cares for throughout the year, and with which they produce Mica Beer, 100% Natural and Artisan.
With intense and exclusive flavors, in which MICA incorporates only natural ingredients, such as a surprising range of various malts, hops, yeast and water. And the distinctive touch of their fresh natural barley, harvested every year in these lands.
