Picto-sculpture of PIN VEGA made in mixed media on board with a size of 108 x 108 x 4cm. and a weight of 13 kg. This work was made in July 2021. Incandescent metallic minerals rise to the surface from the earth’s interior in a liquid state and later cool to a solid state. The rapid cooling causes the surface to crack. But the work is actually more complex than this because the spherical shape with a pronounced convex relief that appears in the centre of the work has exploded into particles that are absorbed by the pitch blackness. The graphite finish gives the work a special metallic sheen that reinforces its three-dimensionality and brings it into the field of sculpture.
